The
Daendels Road
Gouverneur-Generaal (the Governor General) is
a pioneer Herman Willem Daendels very extraordinary impact infrastructure for
economic progress in Java, which is making Grote Postweg (Post Road) or
popularly known as Jalan Daendels.Panjang road on the north side of Java from
Anyer in west end Panarukan end up in the East, with a total length reaches
1000km, the longest in the world at that time. Daendels built roads that cut

Port Bakauheni in Sumatra, the southern most tip of the Trans Sumatra.
Easternmost tip are Port Ketapang connecting with Gilimanuk Harbour on the
island of Bali. And also the road that connects the western and eastern part of
Java Island. The path crosses a number of major cities in Java and currently,
in addition to Jakarta, among others Cilegon, Tangerang, Bekasi, Cirebon,
Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Apex, Tuban, Surabaya, Pasuruan, Probolinggo and
Banyuwangi.
